The oldest archaeological findings of the inhabitants of West Java Anyer found in the culture with the discovery of bronze and iron metal from before the first millennium. Clay pottery prehistoric times Buni (Bekasi old) can be found ranging from Anyer to Cirebon.

[[West Java]] in the 5th century was part of the Kingdom of [[Tarumanagara]]. Inscription remains Kingdom [[Tarumanagara]] a lot of spread in West Java. There are seven inscriptions written in script Wengi (which Palawa period digunkan in India) and Sanskrit most Tarumanagara told the king.

This agreement was witnessed also by the United Nations Commission for Indonesia (UNCI) as a UN representative.

However, West Java to rejoin the [[Republic of Indonesia]] in 1950.
